the restoration process
1969 Dodge Charger
This stock 318 was in average driver condition and started as a personal project of John's. The vision was BIG - big brakes, big wheels and big cubic inches! We designed and hand built a triangulated 4 link and coil over rear suspension, mini tubbed the rear wheel wells and raised the drive shaft tunnel to allow everything to work as planned. After adding a 512 big block, a TKO600 five speed and a Dana 60 rear differential, we installed 14" disc brakes, Forgeline wheels, drop spindles, tubular control arms and an upgraded cooling system. We gave her an all new body by stripping her down, completing all needed metal/body work, priming, painting and detailing. This Beauty went on to win countless 1st Place awards from renowned organizations such as Good Guys and Richard Petty's, including being signed by the King himself!
